Name: Rex Surrette Location: Russellville, AR E-Mail: supercop026@hotmail.com Comments: As I become older and my children are required to obtain geneology report information, I find myself wondering about the past and my ancestory. I started my first semester of college in Jan. 02 at age 42. Ironically, I have to take a course called "U.S. History until 1865." I discovered that I know little about "my" history and need to get out of the house more often. My grandfather, Clearence Surette, was born in Nova Scotia, but I can't seem to find any futher information to complete my family tree. In the event that your web site has any information, It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Surrette in Arkansas

Date: 10/8/2002 Name: Liss Location: Montreal E-Mail: reelbighorse@hotmail.com Comments: I'm doing a community project on Yarmouth for a Canadian Studies class at McGill University. I'm checking out your website to gain more insight that isn't all the tourism stuff I encountered elsewhere on the web. If anyone would like to send me an e-mail i'd love it...hearing from any resident would be wonderful and would really give me a firmer idea of just what type of place Yarmouth is. If anyone has any history knowledge, or personal stories while living in the town, about daily life, or things that just may be unique to Yarmouth or Nova Scotia, I would really appreciate it. These cultures that differ from town to town is what makes Canada so wonderful. Thanks for your time! Elisabeth

Comments: I was looking for a recipe for Rappie Pie when I stumbled
on this sight. I was introduced to Rappie Pie while I was visiting
my late Aunt Gladys Duveau. That was my first and only visit to Yarmouth.
I visited the Robicheau museum and took in a few more sights. I just
fell in love with Yarmouth and hope to visit again with my sister.

Comments: We are fasinated by the detail and information your fine website
displays. Thank you for the enormous amount of research and time
which you put into producing it. I shall print out all of the history so
we can study it and keep it for future reference. We have purchased
land in the Golden Forest Subdivision, and are interested in knowing everything
we can find out. Perhaps you might enlighten us about the lake, which
we have been told is called Freeman's Lake. So far, we have not come
upon anything about that lake -- its size and its history. Perhaps
it has a different name? We live in a very small village in the NW
corner of Connecticut and have a business -- our website is betterbarns.com
in case anyone wants to research the history of a future resident.

Comments: After reading your wonderful website and sending you a message
with some questions, I went back and began looking through the comments
made by others in the Guestbook. It occurred to me that perhaps someone
might know of Mary Helen Blackburn, my grandmother who was a twin and left
Nova Scotia somewhere around 1900 as a teenager. She married a German
named Graeter and had two sons, Harold and Ralph (my Dad.) She lived in
NYC and moved to Kennebunk, Maine around 1933 where she lived until her
death around 1952. Thank you for any information.
