on Surette's Island in 1874.His name was Nicholas Leger Surette.I lived
in Yarmouth until 1947 when My father moved us to Ontario.I've been back
several times and I still miss living there.My sister and I went to Pubnico
every summer.I still have a sister living there.

He was called Gene "K.O" Fowler,D.O.B 20 July 1920, he was born in Brooklyn Yarmouth County. He has his picture in The Town and County Sports Heritage Association Hall of Famers (1999). He was a boxer, holding the Maritime Light Heavyweight Championship Title for 3 years whilst serving in the Canadian Forces during WW2. He married my mother in 1945 and resided in England after the war. Sadly he died in March 1985 after a short illness. I would be most grateful for any information about my fathers School and teenage years.(He was bought up in a Childrens Home in his early years).He was a very charming, sensitive, sweet man who spoke very little about himself and his younger years. Any/All help would be gratefully received.

whom I have ever met, in May, 2004. I was just curious about the
region since it is my descendance, my blood. If you have any information

looking forward to visiting the region and meeting my relatives.
I will be accompanied by my grandmother (JEssi) and mother (if all goes
according to plan). The last time my grandmother visited was for

Comments: Yarmouth is a beautiful place. I learned this when I met my
inlaws for the first time in 2001. My husband & I met here, in Calgary
but are from the East Coast. The shoreline is tremendous. My inlaws have
an awesome view of the Harbour which was a warm welcome to a new place
to visit. Great hospitality from the inlaws also helped. Yarmouth is a
small but gorgeos & well kept town with friendly people.

the inlaws for the first time. What a wonderful experience! Not only was
the hospitality great but the town is an awesome place to vacation. The
shorelines are tremendous. The sandy beaches were amazing and peaceful.
There is nothing more relaxing than being by the open ocean and hearing
the waves crash against the boulders. The inlaws, Mr & Mrs. Thibeau
took us site seeing to Bunker's Island, Yarmouth Lighthouse, Portland Beach,
and so on. Our view from the inlaws consisted of a fantastic and peaceful
view of the Harbour and a shipwrecked boat across the way.

around 1824. His son David and Emily (Clements) Randall had I believe four
or five children there. David & Emily died young and his brother Jonathan
Randall raised a couple of the children. One of them was my Gr Grandfather

I'm doing a report on rouge waves. Any Help would be greatly appreciated I just need to know if this was a myth or if the incident did indeed occur and how I can maybe find a news report or other information on it..thanks for your HELP !!!! flowers", or some variation of this idea. They are rather like a
pansy but much more colourful with, I think, white feathery edges.
I bought some seeds last summer but can't find the packages right now.
As far as I know, they are available only at the Cape Forchu Gift Shop.
When I sort out our seeds for the spring planting, I will hopefully find
the proper name. Plan to be back in Summer 2004 after we take our daughter
to Dalhousie in Halifax.
